My Food Bag annual profit, revenue rise – Stuff

Meal kit company My Food Bag’s profit after tax was up to $20 million for the year to March 30, up from $2.4m a year earlier, the company said on Friday.
The company hit the headlines last week after Simon Henry, the head of chemical company DGL, which also listed last year, criticised it for including a photo of its brand ambassador Nadia Lim in its prospectus.
The profit for 2021 included a $14.1m deduction for one-off transaction costs, the company said.
Revenue of $194m was up $3.3m on a year earlier, and was $7.6m more than forecast in its prospectus.
Pre-tax profit of $34.2m was up 19 per cent on the previous year.
Shareholders would be paid a dividend of 4 cents a share on June 16, bringing total dividends for the year to 7c a share.
CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated that the $14.1m deduction for one-off transaction costs applied to the 2022 financial year. (Amended at 9.55am, May 20, 2022)
