
DUMFRIES, VA — A man has been charged in connection with a sexual assault at a Dumfries Walmart, the Prince William County Police Department said.
The victim, a 27-year-old woman, was not seriously injured in the assault, according to the police report.
Authorities identified the suspect as Shane Bernard Langley, a 62-year-old man from Dumfries. He is charged with one count of sexual assault. His bond is listed as unavailable and his court date is pending.
The assault occurred around 1 p.m. on Saturday, according to the police department. Authorities said a 27-year-old woman was shopping in the aisle when Langley inappropriately touched her.
The woman chased Langley, who ran out of the store, according to the police department.
After an investigation, officers arrested Langley in Woodbridge on Tuesday.
