The ICC T20 World Cup 2022 qualifiers move on with West Indies facing Scotland in Hobart on October 17. The match starts at 9.30 am local time which is 3 pm IST.
The two-time T20 World Cup champions will need to play the qualifier after failing to qualify for the tournament directly. This is also the first time that Chris Gayle will not play in the World Cup for West Indies.
West Indies have a few of their champion players missing. Kieron Pollard, Sunil Narine, Andre Russell and Lendl Simmons are the names missing from the side along with Gayle. Nicholas Pooran will be leading the side in this tournament.
The Windies play against Zimbabwe (October 19) and Ireland (October 21) after playing the Scottish side. Scotland can play the party spoilers for the Windies. They have played in ICC tournaments in the past and have come up trumps against top teams.
There are two groups in the qualifier round of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. They are Group A and Group B. In group A, there are 4 teams namely Sri Lanka, Namibia, UAE, and the Netherlands. In group B, there are 4 teams- West Indies, Zimbabwe, Scotland, and Ireland.

During the qualifier round of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022, a total of 12 matches will take place. Group A teams will play one match with the other teams in the group. Similarly, Group B teams will play one each against the other teams of the group.
Since there are 4 teams in each group, each team will play 3 matches during the qualifier round. After the end of the qualifier round, the top two teams in Group A and Group B points table will qualify for the super 12 round. Two teams will join Group 1 of the super 12 round while the 2 others will join Group 2.
In India
Star Sports is the official broadcaster of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in India. Hence, Star Sports channels will broadcast all the matches of the tournament in India. The live streaming will be available on Disney+ Hoststar, where fans with subscriptions can enjoy the matches.
In Afghanistan
In Afghanistan, RTA Sports and Ariana TV will broadcast ICC T20 World Cup 2022.
In Sri Lanka
In Sri Lanka, Siyatha RV will present the live-action of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022.
In Bangladesh
In Bangladesh, Gazi TV, T Sports, and BTV will broadcast the matches of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022.
In Pakistan
In Pakistan, PTV Sports and Ten Sports will present the tournament to viewers.
In Nepal
In Nepal, Star Sports will broadcast the tournament.
In Australia
In Australia, Kayo Sports and Foxtel will present the live telecast and live stream of the tournament.
In New Zealand
In New Zealand, Sky Sports will present the live telecast of the tournament.
In South Africa
In South Africa, SuperSport will present the live-action of the tournament.
In the United Kingdom
In the United Kingdom, Sky Sports Cricket will present the live telecast of the tournament.
In the Caribbean (West Indies)
In the Caribbean region (West Indies), ESPN will present the live-action of the tournament.
In the United States
In the United States, Willow TV and Willow Xtra will present the live streaming and live telecast of the matches of the tournament.
In Canada
Willow TV Canada will present the tournament in Canada.
In UAE and Middle-East
In UAE and Middle-east, BeIN Sports will present the live action of the tournament.
In Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Singapore
Astro Cricket will present the live telecast of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Singapore. Yupp TV will present the live streaming in Hong Kong while Singtel will present the live streaming in Singapore.
